This project provides Bahrain Polytechnic’s students and academic advisors with an (iOS) application that simplifies the process of academic advising.

Benefits

- Provide a better connection between the mentor/academic advisor and their mentees on the go through handheld devices, while offering automated guidance.

- Ease the process of recording evidences of mentor meetings and the job of academically advising students.

Globalley

Globalley is a simple social media website. Its name comes from a word-play that refers to the website being a "global alley" for communication.

Description

Globalley's slogan is: "Paving your path to worldwide communication". It allows people to create friendships with either people you know by name or through searching for others with specific interests. It offers a user profile with details about the user and their interests. Globalley also offers an instant messaging feature where users can chat in real-time with their friends.

Pocket Tourist

PocketTourist is an application that locates Bahrain's cultural interest sites or tourist attractions surrounding the user, based on the smartphone’s current location.

Main Features:

- Allowing users to add unregistered locations which would then appear to other users.

- Providing users with the ability to take photos of the locations and post it along with text to Facebook or Twitter.

- Providing real-time navigation (route) to locations of interest or attraction of the user's choosing.

Chinook Music

Chinook Music is a simple music store website. It provides music purchases from widely known artists for the cheapest prices.

Description

Chinook Music's slogan is: "Taking your music to a whole new level". It allows people to find different music tracks, albums and artists based on the most popular ones or through searching for their favourite ones. It displays the details of many tracks and allows users to purchase them. Chinook Music has a cart page which allows to checkout and download the purchased tracks or albums.

Job Portal

Job Portal is a simple program that puts employment opportunities in your hands. It provides a wide range of jobs to career seekers and presents the most qualified seekers to employers.

Description

Job Portal allows job seekers to search for occupations based on different criteria such as company name, work field (category), salary and more. Employers can post their jobs on the same system, allowing seekers to apply for them. A useful feature for employers is searching for job seekers on the system, which can be based on the requirements for a job they have posted or based on details that are shown on the job seekers' resumes.

Stolen Vision

Stolen Vision is the Public Award winning game of Bahrain's 1st National Game Jam. It is a 3D mystery/detective game that follows the story of a detective trying to save Bahrain's Vision 2030. It has great visual graphics and compelling gameplay.

Description

Stolen Vision is a game that was created during Bahrain's 1st National Game Jam Competition which lasted for the span of only three days. The theme of the competition was to create a game that relates to Bahrain Vision 2030. The game's storyline starts with some important documents being stolen, which would jeopardise Bahrain Vision 2030 and prevent the country from reaching it. The hero of the game is a detective who has to find clues in order to find the thief. Stolen Vision has amazing 3D visual graphics and designs as well as an attractive story.

Alien Invasion

Alien Invasion is a 3D adventure/fantasy game that follows the story of a hero who tries to save the world from an alien invasion. It has amazing visual graphics and compelling gameplay.

Description

Alien Invasion re-imagines the concept of space invasion games and provides a new experience. The game allows the player to follow the hero as he battles aliens that invaded the Earth different levels such as the desert, the jungle and the north pole. Finally, the hero faces the final challenge against the boss of the aliens to beat him and save the world. Alien Invasion has amazing 3D visual graphics and designs as well as a familiar but compelling story.
